How do I stay fit while traveling!?
First, I want to say I’M SO SORRY!
I didn’t post anything last week and I feel so guilty about it! But we were sooooo freaking busy the last two weeks that a blog post completely slipped my mind… 🙈 Please forgive me! <3
But back to this week’s blog post…
This isn’t necessarily travel related, because it can become apart of your daily routine at home as well. But I wanted to write a post about it because I have been doing it for about 2 weeks so far and I love it!
Basically, intermittent fasting is when you eat for a certain period of time and you fast for the other. The general rule of thumb is to eat for 8 hours and fast for 16. But you can change it up to however fits your lifestyle and needs best. Seeing as I just started my intermittent fasting journey, I’m not an expert by any means. So I have linked to this article all about it if you want to read a more in depth post.
This type of eating habit is known to be great for promoting stubborn and excess fat loss! So let’s all just give that one a big old HELL YES! Also, adding in some fasted cardio is an amazing way to burn fat! (Ps. Would you guys like a blog post on some fasted cardio workouts?? Let me know!)
Anyways, what I have been doing is eating from 12:00-8:00pm and then fasting from 8:00-12:00pm… That works out most days but I always remain flexible depending on my plans for that day. So for instance, if my last meal was at 6:00pm the night before, I won’t try to force myself to wait until noon to eat again. If I am hungry around 10:00 or 11:00 then I will eat and just start my 8 hours then. Also, one night we went out for beers so I obviously didn’t fast for 16 hours. I didn’t eat during that time, but you are only technically supposed to have water, black coffee, or sugar-free tea during the fast. So I cheated haha… But like I said, flexibility is key in order to make it fit with your lifestyle.
I could seriously talk about this forever lol, but instead of doing that would you guys like to see a video diary of my journey with intermittent fasting so far?? I will basically show you what I eat and how I’m feeling and stuff throughout the days. Let me know in the comments if this is something you would like to see!
Also, have any of you tried intermittent fasting? If so, I would love some tips or just to hear about your journey and thoughts!
Anyways, thank you so much for reading and I will catch you babes next time!
