How do I stay fit while traveling!?
YAY! The first official post of the series! WOOHHOOO!!
I’m only a little bit stoked about this… I’m sure you can tell…
Anyways, today’s post is going to be short and sweet. I just want to give you the skinny, that low down, the basics yoooo.
First thing’s first – Water not Alchy.
Yeah it’s that simple. I always stay super duper hydrated while traveling because, well it’s just good for you. And it helps with not getting sick, so there’s that. AND we all know that alcohol does absolutely nothing positive for the body because she’s a lil bitch like that… Sure she can be a good time, but she ain’t worth the date. Sorry bout it guys, but if you want to stay fit and healthy while traveling, alcohol is not your friend.
Next – I try and eat fairly healthy.
I know I went on a thing about water, eating healthy, and not drinking alchy in my Skin Care post, but seriously guys that’s a big part of staying fit and healthy while traveling. And even just when you’re at home…
I’m not saying I always eat the most healthy option ever, but I do try and pick the better choice most of the time. On the plus side, America FU**S with the food so much, making just about everything garbage. It’s not like that in most of the world. So it’s actually way easier to eat healthy when you’re traveling as opposed to being stuck in the good ole USA. But that’s just my opinion, so take that how you want…
Lastly – WALK. WALK. WALK.
Guys, I’m not kidding when I say this is the main reason I stay fit and healthy while traveling. Well, it’s a combination of the above and walking. But still… You get it…
So, Cam and I walk everywhere we go. We almost never have our own means of transportation (until now because you kinda need a motor bike in Bali). But besides that, we walk so much and it honestly helps heaps with keeping us in pretty good shape. Now, when I say we walk everywhere, I mean we literally have walked over 30 miles in one day. That’s definitely not an everyday thing! But that just shows that I don’t mean a quick little walk from our place to the taxi driver lol… I think you guys get the point.
Forreal Lastly – We sweat so much it’s a bit disturbing.
Okay by this I mean we have been in a hot ass climate for so long now that the amount we sweat just by standing outside is enough to not even need to workout. Well, that’s a bit aggressive but we sweat so freaking much it’s gross. Especially on the days we are walking far distances. So yeah I take that back, walking for a while in this type of heat actually consists of a great workout! And I always had a hard time breaking a sweat in the gym sooooo it’s cool yooo.
But that brings us to the end. I told you guys it was going to be short and sweet. Soops (as in super) simple. Just the basics. It’s all ya really needed today anyways.
